Most sights in Brussels are moderately close together, within reasonable walking distance of each other. The oldest component of town can have jagged cobblestone roads; however the rest of the conurbation is moderately easy to walk. Several roads in the old town are closed to cars. Several buildings in the old town were destroyed to make approach for brand new ministries, palaces, schools, army barracks and office blocks constructed linking 1880 and 1980.

Leopold Park
It is a communal park situated within the Leopold Quarter of Brussels, adjacent to the Paul-Henri Spaak building, the seat of the European Parliament. The wonderful feature of the park is its pond, fed by the Maalbeek stream. Several rare trees and animals such as mallards, moorhens, coots, and even Egyptian geese and rose-ringed parakeets bloom in this urban atmosphere.
